Following on from the mass and parade, we had performances of Irish music from the junior and senior Comhaltas-class musicians. Maggie's Misfits ukulele players treated us to a range of Irish folk songs. The 'black stuff' was flowing including shamrock toppers! Step dancers, both junior and senior, stunned the audience with some fantastic reels and jigs. Steve Needham wowed the crowd with a selection of Irish and country classics, with revellers dancing the ceili dance 'the walls of Limerick'! The Lash finished off the unforgettable day with a selection of up-beat and toe tapping classics with the audience responding in kind with dancing, hand clapping and chanting! A huge thank you to everyone who attended the St Patrick's Day festivities - we hope to see you again soon! ☘️🇮🇪💚🇮🇪🎶🇮🇪🤸☘️
A special mention to the children who helped, performed and enjoyed St Patrick's Day at the Brian Boru Club - EST 1889 . During the mass we had children reading bidding prayers who were confident and articulate. Children respectfully brought the offertory and collection to Canon McNally. Young musicians highlighted their talents when playing Irish music on the stage during the afternoon. Young dancers enjoyed displaying their skills on the dancefloor. Young visitors to the club enjoyed joining in the fun. Well done to all our youngsters - you are amazing. The Brian Boru Club is in safe hands! 👏👏👏🎶💚☘️
